Job Title: HVAC Service Technician
Location: Gurnee, IL
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (30-minute break).
On-Call Expectation: Rotating on-call schedule every 4th week
Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour depending on experience
($30–$36/hr for 3+ years; up to $38–$40/hr for 8+ years).
Sales SPIFFs & Incentives: $25 – $100 per sale for equipment replacements (furnaces/AC), humidifiers, Wi-Fi thermostats, dehumidifiers, water heaters, and maintenance agreements.
Year-End Bonus: Discretionary performance and efficiency-based year-end bonus.

Experience: 3+ years of HVAC service experience.
Technical Skills: Proficient with forced air, mini-splits, heat pumps, and radiant boilers (no steam). Experienced with legacy (R22) and current/newer refrigerants (R410A, A2Ls).
Site & Work Requirements: Comfortable working at heights and on rooftops for light commercial rooftop units (RTUs).
General Requirements: Clean driving record, reliable attendance, standard hand tools, and a strong work ethic.
Pluses: Ability to read/interpret blueprints and the desire/potential to grow into a leadership or senior tech role.
Diagnostics & Repairs: Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems across daily dispatch schedules.
Daily Operations: Arrive at 7:30 AM to restock truck/parts, follow cloud-based dispatch schedules on mobile devices, and manage calls independently in the field.
On-Call Coverage: Participate in the 4-week rotating on-call schedule for scheduled weekend calls and maintenance agreement customers.
Customer Service: Provide clear explanations of repairs to customers and identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or accessories.
